Ouch!

Last Friday evening, I broke my right ankle as I was walking down the stairs at a Shinkansen station, I missed them and fell down.At that time, I didn't think that my ankle was broken. So I got up straight way,and went up again the stairs after my business was finished and got on Shinkansen.It was midnight when I was back home driving my car.It was excruciatingly painful that night, and I could not sleep at all.

I went to the orthopedic clinic the next day. The doctor said, "The bone on the outside of your ankle is broken" after looking at the x-ray film for a moment. When I explained details of how to I got injured, the doctor said, "I don't know how were you able to walk".Certainly, when I fell down I thought I heard a "nice" sound that I'd heard before. If it is Japanese onomatopoeic word, it is feeling of "Meki meki!!" though it might be "Crack!!" if the sound is expressed in English. I was able to learn that such a sound was when my bone broke.

By the way, I went to watch the movie "Outrage" which was the topic of work before the day of the accident. We might be frowning in physical pain from this movie to the last minute because the violence descriptions of director Takeshi Kitano's movies are always grotesque  The violence scenes of this movie alone are not special. However, I instinctively covered my both ears with my hand in the scene where long chopsticks for cooking are stabbed in the earhole.In childhood, I got awful tympanitis and to drain the pus, I had to popped my eardrum artificially. A terrible sound echoed through my ear, and an shooting pain attacked me at that time. After that, I remember nothing.

This is the YAKUZA movie.But there is neither a saving nor a catharsis unlike past yakuza movies.There is usually a backbone of "Love and Duty" in yakuza movies.Howeve, in this movie, "Love" doesn't exist anywhere,and only"Duty" is a reason for characters to do well or to survive .The existence of women is only as a part of the tool for a lot of crimes for the men. Certainly,they are only the outraged people,the inhumanities and  the artful guys like the title.However, it is not only gloomily but there is a dry black humor also.We can detach this movie from " yakuza play by the Japanese movie stars ",but I think it is interesting.Especially, I was drawn in from the introductory part in the first half of the drama. I think that the evaluation to this movie divides your feelings from the part where the slaughter continues in the latter half . I think that the number of people who were of a vague expression after the movie ends were lot though "The Nine" in Shinjuku was full.

This is just an aside, but the injury of my ankle will take a month to make a complete recover.The pain has been gone almost now when the ankle is tightly fixed. Japan has reached  humid " Rainy season".I want to take a bath as soon as possible.
